Located in the centre of charming Sherborne, Bakehouse B&B offers a convenient base for exploring the area. It is very close to Sherborne station, making it easily accessible for those traveling by train. the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained with almost new bathroom suites. the owner is welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. the breakfast is satisfactory and there is a friendly dog in the property. the hostel side offers great value for money, with bunk beds, showers, and amenities such as towels, internet, and tea/coffee making facilities.

Some of the public areas and other rooms may not meet the same standard as the Art Deco room, with unfinished decor and sub-standard paintwork.

I did not stay as it was unsecured, unsafe and in a total state of uncleanliness and neglect. Nothing to what is displayed on the website. Locals thought it was no longer operating and I’m sure it should not be. I would recommend health and safety take an inspection there along with Trading standards. This hotel offers great value for money. The prices are very reasonable compared to other options in the area. I also loved the attention to detail in the rooms. The furniture and pictures added a unique and individual touch that you don't often find in other hotels. Plus, having a bath in the room was a nice change and the towels were always clean.

The staff provided excellent service and were very friendly. The basic amenities were well-maintained, and I especially enjoyed the room with a bath and views of the Abbey. The ensuite bathroom was small but well-appointed, with an excellent shower. The breakfast was delicious, with really good bread and even fresh strawberries.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, right in the heart of the city and close to all the main attractions. It made it easy for us to explore and experience the city. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep. the staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with valuable information about the local area and things to do.

The choices seemed limited and did not cater to different dietary requirements. the Wi-Fi connection in our room was weak and unreliable, making it difficult to stay connected and use our devices effectively.

The cozy and homey atmosphere of the place was just perfect for a romantic escape. the authentic decoration of the antique furniture and lovely paintings was very charming. We loved the delicious breakfast included, especially the crispy bacon and fresh eggs. the location was also great, close to the town center and with excellent access to local tourist attractions.

There were a few minor issues, such as a wobbly toilet in the bathroom. the Wi-Fi connection was a bit spotty at times.
